Here We Are

Here We Are is a group exhibition featuring Romi Thornton’s installation Plumbob Poetics alongside the work of more than 20 artists across three venues; The Old Parcels Office, Mandy Apple and Gallery 33, Scarborough.
Plumbob Poetics (2025) investigates nostalgic cyber-spatial devotion and how role-playing environments become portals for confession, reinvention and a sense of home. The installation draws on the story of Parrhasius’ curtain and laments on the memories of Machinimas - narrative films created using footage from online and video games such as Runescape and The Sims.
